1. Find a space in your home that you wish to be used for your massage at home.
When you book a local massage therapist technician to come to your home, at Purely Polished, we bring all massage beds to your home! All you need to do is provide us with a space to set up, anywhere in your home!
Each of our professionals has their own unique sparkle in how they like to provide a massage bespoke experience. Where the basis of a massage with Purely Polished is standard, additional elements such as background music, heated products and an electric blanket is dependent on your massage therapist, and this is why we have a ‘rebook’ functionality - to ensure you can book your favourite professional!
Our level of luxury stems from the luxury of comfort in your own home, which is different from the luxury pamper experience you would get in a salon. So we take your lead, with what you want, where you want it, when you want it.
My house is very small with no real space to feel pampered. What do I do?
As long as you’re comfortable, that’s all that matters to us. The Purely Polished team are used to working on corporate clients where each get a quick 5-minute shoulder massage at their desks, working in lobbies and pop up spaces, setting up beds in studio hotel rooms.
Can I get a massage service on my bed?
For safety and security reasons, no. We don’t allow massage services to be conducted on a customer’s bed. This is for instances including:
- Our massage therapists may hop on top of you which could restrain their level of skill to be utilised if your bed is too soft.
- Massage beds have a hole for the face to breathe through when lying face down. For your own safety, we only conduct massages on professional massage beds.
- To ensure a strict guideline for intimate related circumstances, we have a no bed policy.
Our professionals are adaptable to work in any space! If you’re unsure of where is best to set up, we will go through the options with you upon arrival.
2. How to prepare your body for a massage.
When booking a massage with Purely Polished, all we ask is to ensure that you are clean and appropriate for our massage therapists to work on your body. Especially for appointments that include foot massages and full-body experiences,
Other things to note:
We advise our clients who get spray tans to acknowledge that a body massage may wear off. If booking a spray tan and a massage with Purely Polished, please ensure your spray tan is after your massage appointment.
We advise our clients to have little to no makeup when getting a facedown massage. This is to ensure that makeup is not rubbing against your face and to avoid having to apply a new layer of makeup to touch up post-massage appointments.
3. Check that you’ve added your special requests and requirements into your booking order.
Our Beauty & Wellness Professionals are in demand with complex schedules and appointments to travel to. If you’re looking to extend your massage appointment, want to add on more services to your session (add on foot massage, face/temple massage etc), to ensure a guarantee of your service requests, we highly recommend to request for this when booking in your appointment.
In saying that, our professionals are equipped to add on services during your appointment through the platform for any in the moment requests. However, we ask for understanding that time is a factor that your therapist may not be able to provide.
With being a mobile service, please ensure that you have added enough information about your booking preferences where you can. Things including:
If you have a preference for either a male or female therapist,
Prefer to not be undressed during your appointment (massage on top of clothing)
A particular injury on your body (burns, cuts, bruises etc)
Pregnant, or have just had a child
Have children to check in on during the appointment
Dry and sensitive skin,
Live on the 5th storey, with no elevators only stairs
Have little or no mobility,
